Cannabis social clubs in Madrid: a guide for visitors

New in town?

If you are visiting Madrid and have heard about social clubs, this is what you need to know before you try to visit one.

What a social club is

A social club in Madrid is a private, non-profit association of adults. Clubs are not shops or bars open to the public: only members can enter, and each association has its own rules for accepting new members.

Can visitors join?

It depends on each association: they decide who can become a member, and an invitation does not guarantee entry. Tell us in the chat when you are in Madrid and we will tell you your options.

How to get an invitation

Tap “Get an invitation”. A private WhatsApp chat opens with a short message already written. A real person answers, sorts out the details with you and sends you the invitation and the address of the club.

What to bring

  • Your invitation.
  • An original passport or ID card. Photos or copies are usually not accepted.
  • Being 21 or older.
  • The membership fee: €20 for 5 months or €50 for a full year. You pay it directly to the association, never to us.

Why the address is not public

The associations are private and prefer to share their address only with people who have an invitation. On the map you can see the approximate area.

Rules to respect

In Spain, consuming in public places such as streets and parks is forbidden and fined. Please respect the neighbours.

About this website

This is an information website. We don't sell anything, we don't promote consumption and we are not one of the associations. This page is general information, not legal advice.

Choose by neighbourhood

Choosing a club is optional, but it can help to look at the area where you are staying.
